Overview
Hong
Kong Computer Institute
was established in 1981
to provide higher education
in Business and Information
Technology. We provide
studies towards a range
of academic awards, from
Certificates, Degrees
and Master Degrees. There
are many points of entry
and exits. We admit three
intakes of students per
year. Many programmes
are offered in the evening
and weekends only. We
are small. Students
interact closely with
academic staff and with
each other. Students
can get access to senior
staff including the Principal
readily.
Our campus
is easily accessible
by public transports.
Our classrooms are modern
and our computer laboratories
and libraries are well
equipped with video conferencing
and wireless LAN.
We have
a qualified team of full-time
and part-time staff members,
many of whom have doctorate
degrees and years of
professional experiences.
Our core value is the
pursuit of excellence
in teaching and learning.
We respond to the call
of the Chief Executive
of the HKSAR in his 2000
Policy address to increase
the relevant age group
from 30% to 60% by venturing
into associate degrees.
Our Associate Degree in Computing and Associate Degree in Business Administration were accrediated by HKCAA in 2002 and were approved for two intakes during 2003/04 to 2004/05 academic years.
We collaborate
with UK Universities, namely
the London Metropolitan
University, the Glasgow
Caledonian University,
the University of Wales
Newport, to make accessible
their degrees in Hong
Kong. We aim, by these
means to nurture a group
of graduates with international
outlook.
We care for our students.
You are welcome to join
the HKCI family.
